Perfect Rest Stop

Do you love this little seating area as much as I do?  I seriously love everything, including that purse.  :)  I love the mirrored fireplace, that awesome grey chair, and that wonderful unique table.  It is such a cute and unexpected little area.

Decorated Shelves

Isn't this a wonderfully organized bookshelf?  I truly love the neatness and organization, all the different colors and textures, and the imperfect collection of goods.  I have always struggled with what to put on shelves to make it look organized, useful...and still beautiful! This is a perfect model :)

Gallery Wall

I have very mixed feelings about gallery walls.  Sometimes, I love them.  But other times I think they look awful.  I think I like them when they are more matchy-matchy, and that they look organized and purposeful.  When they are too cluttered, or too mis-mashed, they make my OCD self go into overdrive.

But then I saw this bathroom:
That gallery wall looks amazing! And it literally fills the entire wall.  I wish I could see it better, but I love the crisp black frames with the white mats.  And from what I can see, all the pictures are black and white too.  I would have thought such a wall could be too overpowering in such a small room, but I absolutely love it!

Tell me...how do you feel about gallery walls?

Drooling in Pink

Oh my word...do you love this room as much as I do?  Love the pink chair, that fabulous couch, the stunning details on the bookshelf...everything!  The picture on the wall kind of creeps me out a bit, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

Its just perfect.  I NEED some hot pink in my house ASAP.

Bathroom Beauties

So apparently, I've been really into bathroom designs lately.  I feel like these are such difficult rooms to decorate, because each bathroom tends to be so different.  Sizes range from tiny to massive, and placement is often predetermined.  However, I always think you can draw from beautiful rooms, and even if the size is completely different, you can still pull from the beautiful styles.
This space obviously isn't huge, but they designed it well enough to still have a separate shower and soaking tub.  I love the use of the tiles on the wall behind the bath and in the shower.  It makes the room feel very cohesive.
I love the open separate sinks with the vanity in between.  The contrasting colors are fantastic.
I love the hardware on this vanity! And the orange tiles make the room so bright and fun!
So much storage! And I love the open bottom shelves for easy access to towels.
I love the playful zebra mirror in an otherwise neutral bathroom.  Perfect pop on interest to spice up the room!
This room really gives off a spa-like vibe.  Very relaxing.
Very interesting open bathroom.  I must admit, I kind of like the way the tube is sitting.

EdenFantasys Review

Time for another review from my oh-so-favorite online shop!  By now I'm sure you've heard of the fabulous EdenFantasys.  If not, you must be living in a cave or something.  EdenFantasys is an online adult store retailer that is seriously the best thing on the web!  Their website is super easy to use, they carry a huge array of products, and they have ever so helpful customer reviews.  Plus, with free shipping on all orders over $59 and a free gift with every single purchase, what more could you ask for?  They always have great sales going on too, so you can find things to fit in any price range.

I'm going to review something I bought during a recent EdenFantasys purchase, and let me tell you, it is the new favorite product for everyone in my household.  Let me introduce to you...the Ting Ting head tuner-vibrating head massager.
I'm sure you've seen one of these crazy looking contraceptions at the mall.  I always thought they felt so amazing, so when I found one on EdenFantasys, I about squealed with delight.  When you get it, the wires are all pushed together, because they are on a rotating circle that lets them spread out so you can set them exactly how you like them.  When you run it over your scalp and through your hair...AMAZING! So perfect after a stressful day at work.

This particular head massager also comes with a vibration button, but I find that the noise takes away from my relaxation because it is right by my ears.  However, my boyfriend loves it that way, so its really all about personal preference.  All in all, I totally love this product, and I am so glad I found it during my random searches!

Check out EdenFantasys today.  Whether you are looking for head massagers, lingerie, or toys to spice up your bedroom life, you are sure to find exactly what you are looking for (and then some!).  :)

Shabby Chic Mudroom

Isn't this the cutest little mudroom?  I would love to have a little space like this to take off my shoes, hang up my bag and my coat, and to store things such as hats, gloves, and umbrellas.  A distressed umbrella stand in this room would just top it off, and make everything complete!

Designer Lust: Sarah Richardson

Okay...new designer crush.  Sarah Richardson.  Familiar with her work?  If you are an HGTV addict like I am, I'm sure you've seen her restoring her beautiful house, and more lately, her summer cottage (at least I think its more lately).  And I mean, every episode leaves me drooling.  Like seriously, drooling.  Her use of color and design are stunning, and she has a creative way of mixing high-end with much more inexpensive design for a room that flows seamlessly and beautifully.

I'm just going to let these gorgeous photos speak for themselves.

I must comment on this one because i DIE.  Seriously, seriously, seriously...I LOVE it!
This one too...this is a serious future bedroom inspiration.

Beautiful, huh?  I love each picture more every time I see it.
Sorry for the picture overload, but who doesn't love a little design porn on a Thursday afternoon.

Tell me, whats your favorite room?

Special Memories

To my Dad,

You were taken from me way to early.  You have missed out on too much, and I am so saddened by all the time that has passed that I haven't gotten to share with you.  All the birthdays, graduations, and exciting days that you missed.  Even though I know that you are somewhere, smiling down on me and sharing these special days with me, I hate that you cannot be here.  I cannot believe its been 9 years since that terrible day that stole you away from me much too early.

I think of you every single day.  I miss your smile, I miss having breakfast with you before work, and I miss calling you when I got home from school.  I miss eating dinner with you, miss saying goodnight to you, and most of all, I miss hearing you say you love me.

Mom told me the other day about the day you came downstairs crying not too long after I was born.  Crying because you realized you officially bonded with me.  And that makes me cry...because our special bond was ripped apart years and years too early.

I miss you more than you'll ever know.
But I hope you know that you will always, always be a part of my life.
I love you.  Forever.

Two Very Different Kitchens

Its no secret that I love looking at kitchen designs.  I could look at them all day.  I don't know where my fascination with the design of a kitchen came up, but I just love it.  There are so many different styles and options within this single room, that it really astounds me.  I feel that it would be so difficult to design the overall perfect kitchen, because all the possibilities are endless.  Check out these two kitchens below.  So different, but I would love to pull design styles from both.
LOVE the range and I LOVE the backsplash behind the range.  The mix of the tiles is just so beautiful.
Again, here is another kitchen where I absolutely love the backsplash.  Too funny how the two kitchens are so different, yet I am drooling over the backsplash in both.

How do people ever make that final decision?  Yikes!

Big Changes

Big changes are coming in my life, and as everything is starting to come together I am getting more and more excited about what lies ahead for my future.  I will share more with you all soon.

But for now, I am staying busy with my temporary job giving flu shots, which has been an interesting little job for the past two weeks.  I spend nearly 10 hours a day running a flu shot clinic, and give about 10 shots a day.  Yes, that is right my friends, that equals about 1 shot an hour.  For TEN HOURS.  Good thing graduate school is filled with plenty of reading to occupy those extra hours.  And good thing I'm now a good two weeks ahead in school.

Stay tuned for more!

Remembering 9/11

Today...we remember.  A day that will forever be carried in our heavy hearts.  The day our lives all changed.  I remember exactly where I was when we first got news of the attacks, like so many others.  Our flags are flying proudly today.

We remember the people who lost their lives in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93, the firefighters, policemen, paramedics, volunteers, and all the silent heroes.  The families who lost their loved ones, the children who lost their parents, the people who lost their friends.

God bless the US.  We will never forget.

Decorating for Fall

In continuance with yesterday's post, I decided to find a few more practical fall touches, easy things that you can do without having to change the whole style of your room.  Because obviously, that just isn't practical.  But I really do love decorating my house for each different season, because it makes everything so must more festive.
Love the pretty fall plants to decorate the front porch.  And while it may be a little too early for pumpkins, get ready for them in a few short weeks!
Love this tablescape!  The dark purple table cloth is so perfect for fall! And I love those beautiful floral centerpieces.
Perfect for an entryway.
Again, beautiful fall leaves make an easy way to bring the beauty of fall inside.
So cute for the front porch! I really love the use of branches with leaves to add some color, plus its easy and cheap.
Wouldn't you love to attend a dinner party here?
Love the use of rustic decorations mixed with pumpkins, gourds, and candles to create a stunning fall atmosphere.

What is your favorite thing about fall?
